Darcy Kaye brings an intuitive, nuanced approach to interior design, shaped by a lifelong commitment to creativity and over two decades of experience working with residential spaces across Los Angeles and beyond. With a background spanning visual art, set painting and design, as well as high-level real estate, she has an innate ability to see both the potential and the poetry within a space - translating vision into environments that feel at once sophisticated, personal, and entirely livable.

Her design philosophy centers on the balance between functionality and “live-ability”—creating spaces that are not only visually compelling but also comfortable and tailored to the way people truly live. Known for an aesthetic that is eclectic and expressive, Darcy’s work reflects a refined sense of “comfortable sophistication,” where thoughtful details and unexpected moments come together seamlessly.

Darcy’s foundation in real estate has uniquely informed her design perspective, giving her a sharp understanding of how spaces are experienced, navigated, and ultimately valued whilst catering to the needs and desires of the client. Whether reimagining a home for market or designing a space to be lived in, she approaches each project with both a creative eye and a client consideration that aims to please sensibility.

Darcy has worked as a set painter for major studios including 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, and Universal Pictures, and continues to draw inspiration from a wide range of creative disciplines - from drawing and painting to jewelry design.. This background informs her ability to create spaces that feel dynamic, expressive, and rich with character.

David Arndt brings over three decades of experience in visual design, styling, and spatial storytelling to DKD Design Consultants. With a career rooted in luxury retail and creative direction, he has developed a refined eye for composition, balance, and impact—transforming environments into immersive, visually compelling experiences that resonate on both an aesthetic and emotional level.

Beginning his career in the early 1980s, David has held senior visual roles with leading fashion and lifestyle brands, including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Brooks Brothers, where he led visual merchandising initiatives across multiple markets. His work has spanned everything from flagship floor design and seasonal concepting to international training and large-scale store openings, consistently elevating brand environments through thoughtful, high-impact presentation.

David’s design philosophy centers on the intersection of functionality and “wow” - creating spaces that feel both effortlessly livable and distinctly memorable. His aesthetic is inherently eclectic, blending modern sensibilities with curated vintage and antique elements to create layered interiors that feel collected, not constructed. Drawing inspiration from travel, architecture, and everyday observation, he approaches each project with a deep understanding of how people experience and move through space.
